Anita from Compagnia dei Cammini takes you on walks in central, southern and northern Italy!

Anita Constantini is a guide of Compagnia dei Cammini and she is the protagonist of this short interview – the fifth with a guide from the Compagnia dei Cammini, after those with Mara Battilana, Matteo Casula, Andrea Laurenzano and Daniele Moschini, which you can find in this BLOG section of our site.

Question: Anita, how long have you been a guide?

Anita: I started at the age of twenty accompanying children on excursions in the Dolomites, then I got my “environmental hiking guide” license.

Question: specialized in walking in which area?

Anita: Tuscany, where I live: from the “greens” of the Sacred Foreste Casentinesi and Orsigna, to the “blues” of the Island of Elba and Capraia, through the “reds” of the Chianti Classico from Florence to Siena.

Then the lands and my origins that I touch with the walks on the Amalfi Coast, and the Dolomites.

Question: among the many paths for which you have been and are a guide, which one holds a special place in your heart?

Anita: I love all my paths… but to answer your question, I would say the Ampezzo Dolomites; mythical and unique. I propose them at the end of June, when they are all for us.

Question: regarding the walks on these mountains, what are their “pearls”? What can’t those who want to tackle them independently miss, among all that there is to see and that an official and professional guide always shows?

Anita: the “pearls” along this path are the crags themselves, with antique pink shades. The beauty of this itinerary is also being able to stay in six refuges while always remaining at high altitude.

Question: what to taste in the countries crossed by this path?

Anita: I taste the strudel in every refuge!

Domanda: CAMCO is a partner of Compagnia dei Cammini for clothing, what CAMCO product do you have, how do you like it?

Anita: I have a Brèva t-shirt.

My red shirt is awesome. One is worth five and the backpack becomes lighter; not to put in your backpack but to wear!!!

I like the fabric: warm, fresh and soft to the touch, and above all made with fibers of natural origin.
I also find the cut beautiful, even the eye wants its part! Highly recommended.
I also have the Brèngia shorts, which I use sporadically for now…

Recommending CAMCO products makes me reflect on the fact that when we go walking in nature and cover ourselves in plastic… how much are we polluting the external environment and ourselves?

Question: a curiosity that we promised to all our readers, as a gem of the interview: what do you always put in your backpack that no one – or almost no one – thinks about?

Anita: I recommend putting as little as possible in your backpack! We need little and we are surrounded by everything! If I had to suggest one thing to you, I would say adaptability.

Question: Finally, what will be the next route you will lead?

Anita: on the May 1st long weekend I will be in the Sorrento peninsula starting from Amalfi to arrive in Sorrento without touching the chaos of the coast and discovering literally divine landscapes.

Sorrento peninsula, balcony overlooking the sea, from 29 April to 4 May.

We thank Anita and remember that on the Compagnia dei Cammini website it is possible to consult the programming of all the paths that will see her as a guide in 2024.

We warmly invite you to consult the page dedicated to Anita on the Compagnia dei Cammini portal!
