CERTIFICATIONS
NOT ALL WOOL IS THE SAME
It is not enough to say “wool” to talk about raw materials that follow the environmental sustainability direction. We care a lot about the quality of our products and our wool, proudly certified as Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). GOTS is the most important standard for the sustainable production of garments and textile products made with organic natural fibers such as organic cotton or organic wool.
This certification of the origin of our wool assures you that it is obtained in full compliance with strict environmental, sustainability and social criteria.
OUR LYOCELL’S WARRANTY
The lyocell used in CAMCO garments consists of TENCEL™ fibers, certified with the internationally recognized EU Ecolabel. This is an environmental quality seal for the labeling of products and services that have a significantly lower environmental impact over the entire life cycle. Products given the EU Ecolabel designation are independently assessed for compliance with strict ecological and performance criteria. TENCEL™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG.
L’ATTENTION TO DETAIL
The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification is an international, independent and third-party certification focused on the forestry sector and products – wood and non-wood – derived from forests. We very carefully select all our suppliers, even in the smallest details. For this reason we print our information tags on FSC certified paper, to guarantee that it comes from a forest and from a supply chain that is managed in a responsible way, from recycled material and/or controlled wood.
LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
Since we were established, we have worked closely with small Italian manufacturing partners that believe in the importance of guaranteeing high-quality standards and solid ethical principles of productivity and transparency, as we do.
We work hard to increase, day after day, the number of certifications that testify the quality of our products and the great attention to raw materials and processes. We are small, it is true, but we carry out our commitment with determination, and a constant desire to improve ourselves is the engine of our every choice.
The road is still a long one, but from now on we can guarantee that our production, rigorously made in Italy, respects all Italian and EU regulations about environmental protection and workplace. In keeping with the CAMCO manifesto, this is what we will never turn away from because not even the economic advantage of delocalized production will make us forget the basic philosophy that gave life to our adventure. Yes, this is actually the only path we will never leave!
The global assessment of CAMCO’s positioning in terms of sustainability is entrusted to the Sustainable Brand Platform. For CAMCO, sustainability is a process of continuous improvement. We constantly pinpoint new ideas to have an ever smaller impact on the planet, in terms of raw materials, packaging, production, logistics. At the same time, being socially active and guaranteeing a comfortable, flexible, stimulating place of work, useful for personal growth and attentive to the needs of the individual worker, is for us “sustainability”.
